The shape is that of the ubiquitous crock or fermentation jar. While it could be used for the traditional job of food preservation I simply use it to store my tools for food preparation. It also makes a lovely vase for larger arrangements and great for storing kindling or “starter sticks” by the fireplace!

Everything by NY Stoneware is a beautiful study in craftsmanship, simplicity, and function. I typically order online but was thrilled to visit their lovely Bedford store and bought a gorgeous crock and several more nesting bowls which are my go to for dips, small apps, mise en place, and the occasional ice cream.
I collect vintage French confit jars and whenever I buy NY Stoneware I feel like I'm buying something to be enjoyed for years.
I am tremendously pleased with my gorgeous, generously sized, utensil jar! It is exactly what I needed. I have been eyeing these utensil holders for a while and I am thrilled I finally got one. I’m already trying to decide what my next purchase will be. Wonderful craftsmanship!
This beautiful piece looks great with freshly painted white cabinets and granite countertop. A lovely addition to my “new” kitchen. BTW, have always loved the Bedford Oak. Great that you featured this beloved tree in your ceramic piece.
I’ve been eyeing this piece on the website and while in Bedford for a lunch date with my Fox Lane Alumni friends, I stopped in to purchase it. Fortunately there was one left in the shop. I was greeted by a lovely mother/daughter duo who were very sweet and quick to assist. My only issue is that I fell absolutely in love with almost everything in the shop. Sigh. I will definitely be back! I’m loving my ode to Bedford piece and have already received numerous compliments!
